Role Overview :

The QA Engineer (Playwright) Senior II is a high-impact role requiring 57 years of total experience in Quality Assurance, focused on both strong automation and critical thinking.

This role demands a solid foundation in programming fundamentals and mandatory fluency in TypeScript/JavaScript, with a proven record of implementing clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation frameworks.

The incumbent will work on mission-critical systems in a fast-paced Agile environment, leading test strategies, ensuring quality delivery, and mentoring junior engineers.

We are seeking a Senior II QA Engineer (57 years experience) who is a strong coder proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript, with a minimum of 12 years hands-on experience specifically using Playwright. This role requires expertise in designing and optimizing modular, scalable automation frameworks and automating tests across APIs, UIs, and backend systems. Key responsibilities include integrating automation pipelines with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), maintaining test stability, leading test strategy discussions in Agile ceremonies, owning release documentation, and mentoring junior team members on coding and testing best practices.

- Demonstrate a Strong programming background with expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, including core concepts, design patterns, data structures, and debugging.

- Utilize Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript to design and optimize modular automation frameworks.

- Proven ability to write well-structured, production-quality automation code and implement clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation frameworks.

- Experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable automation frameworks for both UI and API testing.

- Execute Practical experience in API testing using Playwright, Axios, or similar libraries to

validate back-end service functionality and data contracts.

- Perform Backend validation expertise with SQL/PostgreSQL/MySQL queries to verify data

integrity and business logic changes.

- Take Ownership of test plans, strategies, and release documentation, ensuring all quality

gates are met for mission-critical systems.

- Demonstrate Proven experience maintaining test stability, debugging continuous integration

failures, and driving continuous improvements in test reliability.

- Lead test strategy discussions and contribute proactively in Agile ceremonies, ensuring testing efforts align with sprint goals.

- Experience integrating automation pipelines with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI for continuous quality checks.

- Apply Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take technical ownership in dynamic product environments.

- Possess a Deep understanding of QA methodologies, Agile principles, and the software test

lifecycle.

- Experience mentoring junior team members on coding standards, advanced automation

techniques, and testing best practices.

- Experience: 57 years of total experience in Quality Assurance.

- Programming: Strong programming background with expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript

(including core concepts/design patterns).

- Tooling: Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience using Playwright with

TypeScript/JavaScript.

- Framework: Experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable automation frameworks

with production-quality code.

- Backend/API: Practical experience in API testing and Backend validation expertise with

SQL/PostgreSQL/MySQL.

- CI/CD: Experience integrating automation pipelines with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins,

or CircleCI).

- Leadership: Ability to lead test strategy discussions and Experience mentoring junior team

members.

- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred).

- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and microservices architecture.

- Exposure to performance and security testing tools and strategies.

- Experience with static analysis tools for automation code quality.
