Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GitLab Administrator with 610 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in GitLab CI/CD and repository governance, responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing best practices. This role is crucial for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and security of our development pipelines and repositories. You will also leverage your strong Python development skills to automate processes and create custom integrations, acting as a key point of contact and driving continuous improvement across development teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- GitLab CI/CD Governance : Design, implement, and enforce CI/CD best practices and standards within GitLab. Develop and maintain pipeline configurations, ensuring scalability and reliability. Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage security, including secrets management and access controls. Perform regular audits to ensure compliance.

- GitLab Repository Governance : Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of all GitLab repositories. You will develop governance policies for repository lifecycle, retention, and storage. Ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and manage all aspects of repository security.

- Python Development : Develop and maintain Python scripts and custom tools to automate CI/CD processes and improve pipeline efficiency. Create custom integrations between GitLab and other enterprise tools using Python. Write and refactor code for custom plugins and extensions to enhance GitLab functionalities.

- Collaboration & Communication : Partner with development, DevOps, and IT teams to align CI/CD strategies with business goals. Provide guidance and training on GitLab best practices and Python scripting. Act as the primary point of contact for all technical issues related to GitLab CI/CD and repository management.

- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with advancements in CI/CD and DevOps. Evaluate and advocate for new tools and technologies to enhance our GitLab capabilities and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 610 years of professional experience with GitLab administration and DevOps.

- Strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline design, optimization, and security.

- Proven experience with GitLab repository governance and management.

- Proficiency in Python development for automation and custom integrations.

- Hands-on experience with managing repository security, access controls, and secrets management.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex pipeline and repository issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
