GitHub Administrator

We are looking for a GitHub Admin with Min 5+ years of experience.

Key Qualifications :

- Extensive experience performing Linux systems administration (RHEL/Ubuntu)

- GitHub Administration Certification

- Experience with GitHub Enterprise Server core commercially-provided software configuration, maintenance, and upgrades : to both commercial middleware and underlying operating system

- Must : hands-on experience with GHES v3.14.0 or later

- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)

- Networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, proxies, firewall rules)

- Storage and backup strategy-implementation and testing in an enterprise environment

- Familiarity with SAML/SSO, LDAP, SCIM

- Experience with service monitoring and security event logging to remote SIEM

- Security hardening & vulnerability patching

- Experience with AWS EC2 cloud-based infrastructure operations and EBS performance optimization

- Experience with Microsoft Entra/Active-Directory

- On-assignment experience performing incident response and root cause analysis

Job Duties :

- Install, configure, and maintain GitHub Enterprise Server software packages and underlying operating system

- Manage user access control base configurations and SSO integration

- Support integrations with internal partners providing monitoring and security event logging

- Plan and execute patches, upgrades, and maintenance

- Troubleshoot issues and respond to incidents

- Ensure backup jobs, perform backup restoration tests, and review disaster recovery readiness procedures

- Coordinate with GRC compliance team partners for controls performance reporting

- Maintain overall system high availability and scalability

- Document codebase-services operations procedures and support playbooks

- Provide reactive support for and engage with internal developer teams
