GIS Developer - System Integration

Job Description :

Talent Worx is on the lookout for a skilled GIS Developer who is passionate about geospatial technologies and eager to make a significant impact through innovative mapping solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement spatial data models and integrate geospatial data from various sources.

- Utilize GIS APIs and libraries (like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Leaflet) to create interactive maps and

visualizations.

- Perform spatial analysis and support data analysis projects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align GIS solutions with business objectives.

- Optimize GIS database performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

- Provide support and training to colleagues on GIS tools and applications.

- Stay current with geospatial technologies and best practices in GIS development.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in GIS software and tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)

- Experience with GIS programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar).

- Familiarity with spatial databases (PostGIS, Spatialite) and query languages.

- Knowledge of web mapping technologies (Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Google Maps API).

- Strong understanding of geospatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, etc.)

- Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.

Required Qualifications :

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS development or a related role.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
