Job Description:
We are looking for a webMethods Integration Developer to join our Integration Practice team. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and supporting integrations on the IBM webMethods platform, and should be able to contribute to upgrade and migration activities under the guidance of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deploy integration services, flow services, and adapters on webMethods Integration Server.
- Work with the following webMethods components:
1. Integration Server (IS)
2. Universal Messaging (UM)
3. My webMethods Server (MWS)
4. Trading Networks (TN)
5. API Gateway & Portal
6. Broker to UM migrations
- Support upgrade and migration activities including package migration, regression testing, and environment validation.
- Perform application compatibility checks and assist in remediation of deprecated services during upgrades.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, analyse server logs, and provide L2 production support.
- Configure JDBC, SAP, and other adapters; manage connections, triggers, and scheduler tasks.
- Coordinate with QA, infrastructure, and application teams for deployments and issue resolution.
- Prepare technical documentation, unit test cases, and deployment notes.
- Participate in production cutover activities and post-deployment support.
Required Skills:
- 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in IBM webMethods (versions 9.x / 10.x); exposure to 11.x is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Flow, Java services, pub-sub, triggers, document types, and JDBC/SAP adapters.
- Working knowledge of Trading Networks, Universal Messaging, and MWS.
- Experience with wmDeployer, package management, and basic IS administration.
- Good understanding of REST/SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and EDI/B2B concepts.
- Familiarity with Linux commands and SQL (Oracle / MS SQL).
- Good communication skills and ability to work in an onsite team environment.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to at least one webMethods version upgrade or migration project.
- Knowledge of API Gateway policies and Broker to UM migration.
- Software AG / IBM webMethods certification.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git) for webMethods deployments.
