Job Description :
What you'll do :
- Own end-to-end quality engineering for complex networking features across manual and automation test areas.
- Drive test strategy, test planning, execution, and automation for L2/L3 networking use cases in appliance and system-level environments.
- Design, build, and enhance scalable automation frameworks using Python, Terraform, and Robot Framework.
- Validate switching and routing behavior across L2 and L3 feature areas with strong focus on functional, regression, and system testing.
- Work hands-on with traffic generation and validation tools to ensure feature quality, scale, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with development, regression, and systems teams, and partner with infrastructure teams when required.
- Troubleshoot issues deeply using logs, traffic analysis, and test results, and drive root cause analysis through closure.
- Bring innovation to day-to-day QA practices by improving coverage, efficiency, and quality engineering processes.
- Mentor team members and influence quality standards, automation direction, and best practices across the QA organization.
What you've done :
- 15 to 20 years of strong experience in software QA engineering with solid exposure to networking products and system-level testing.
- Hands-on experience in automation using Python, Terraform, and Robot Framework.
- Strong hands-on experience in L2 and L3 switching and routing.
- Deep understanding of L2 and L3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, STP, LACP, and related networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with traffic generation tools such as Xena, Spirent, and T-Rex.
- Experience with traffic validation and observability tools such as Splunk and ELK is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in test case design, execution, automation, debugging, and release validation.
- Ability to analyze complex issues in distributed or network-heavy environments and work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience in building scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation solutions for regression and system validation.
Nice to have :
- Exposure to mTLS and security certificate validation.
- Experience working with firewall technologies and related security validation scenarios.
- Experience in validating secure network deployments and troubleshooting security-focused feature behavior.
