Role Overview :
The Product Manager Digital Healthcare Solutions (DHS) is responsible for developing product strategy, managing the product lifecycle, and ensuring technical leadership for digital, software, and hardware-based healthcare solutions.
The role demands strong domain expertise in hospital IT systems, clinical workflow digitization, medical data interoperability, cybersecurity, and enterprise-scale system implementations.
The PM will function as the central point between sales, engineering, regulatory, implementation teams, and customer IT stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade digital healthcare products that improve clinical efficiency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Leadership & Product Expertise :
- Act as the primary technical spokesperson for the DHS portfolio across internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Review, validate, and approve all technical quotations, solution architectures, and product configurations for the sales team.
- Lead technical deep-dives, solution walkthroughs, and product demonstrations for customers, partners, and KOLs.
- Provide expert guidance on deployment models, system architecture, cybersecurity requirements, data governance, and interoperability standards.
Product Strategy, Roadmap & Lifecycle Management :
- Contribute to product strategy, competitive positioning, and roadmap planning based on market needs, customer insights, and emerging technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for installed base customers to increase adoption, utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Support the development and launch of add-on modules, upgrades, service agreements, and new feature rollouts.
Customer Engagement & Implementation Support :
- Conduct end-user workshops, technical trainings, and capability-building programs for clinical, biomedical, and IT teams.
- Collaborate with hospital IT, implementation partners, and distributors to coordinate software updates, version migrations, and infrastructure readiness.
- Manage technical escalation, complaint handling, and root-cause analysis to ensure seamless system performance and customer satisfaction.
Regulatory, Compliance & Data Security :
- Support regulatory submissions, documentation, compliance assessments, and internal audits.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare IT and cybersecurity frameworks, including DPDP, NABH, JCI, and medical data exchange standards.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of healthcare interoperability requirements such as HL7, DICOM, FHIR, HIS integrations, PACS workflows, and EMR/HIMS environments.
Market Development & Sales Support :
- Lead technical discussions during sales negotiations, solution evaluations, and RFP/RFI processes.
- Plan and execute marketing programs, lead-generation initiatives, and customer outreach campaigns to drive portfolio visibility.
- Develop high-quality marketing assets including product presentations, technical whitepapers, value-proposition documents, and offer templates.
- Build, develop, and manage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and strategic customer relationships.
Forecasting, Inventory & Business Reporting :
- Analyze project funnel, submission quality, and business pipeline to generate accurate monthly forecasts.
- Conduct funnel reviews using GForce and ensure forecast accuracy within +/-5%.
- Coordinate with logistics to track stock availability, demo units, and inventory movement.
- Lead S&OP planning, demand forecasting, and monthly performance reporting for the DHS portfolio.
Qualifications & Technical Competencies :
Educational Background :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Advanced training or certifications in healthcare IT, data interoperability, or cybersecurity will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements :
- 5 - 7 years of experience in healthcare IT, digital health products, medical software, HIS/PACS/LIS integration, or enterprise IT implementation roles.
- Strong background in application support, solution engineering, or customer-facing technical roles within the healthcare domain
