Geri Support - AI Engineer - Voice Bot & Generative AI

About the Role :

Geri Support is building a first-of-its-kind AI Voice Bot to support families and elders seeking home care, assisted living, and medical coordination services. We are looking for a hands-on AI engineer, preferably passionate about healthcare tech, to develop the first version of the Geri Support Voice Assistant using open-source AI models, and eventually evolve it into a proprietary in-house AI product (IP).

This role is ideal for a builder, researcher, or startup-minded AI engineer who wants to work with reduced salary but long-term equity / co-founder style growth.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and deploy the first prototype of GeriSupport Voice Bot using open-source voice/LLM models

- Integrate Speech-to-Text (STT), NLP/LLM, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) models into a seamless pipeline

- Design conversation flows that can understand elder-care queries, intake needs & recommend services

- Implement summarization and form-filling via conversation (e.g., converting a senior-care conversation into an evaluation)

- Add support for multiple Indian languages (Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu etc.) - preferred

- Architect the platform with scalable microservices for future development

- Work on data privacy & compliance for medical conversations

- Iterate toward the long-term goal of building a proprietary GeriSupport Voice AI IP

Technical Skills : Candidates dont need all, but should have hands-on experience with most:

AI / NLP :

- Open-source LLMs (LLaMA, Gemma, Mistral, OpenVoice, Whisper, Vosk, etc.)

- RAG / Vector DBs (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)

- Fine-tuning / LoRA / Prompt engineering

- TTS/STT pipelines, diarization, intent recognition

Backend / Deployment :

- Python (FastAPI / Flask)

- Node.js - optional but good to have

- Docker + API integrations

- Experience deploying on AWS / GCP / Azure

Voice & Bot Frameworks (good to have) :

- Vocode / Rasa / Deepgram / Coqui / Mozilla TTS
