GCP Security Administrator - SIEM

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Security Administrator to strengthen our cloud security posture and support enterprise-grade security operations on GCP.

This individual will play a critical role in managing cloud security architecture, threat detection, incident response, and compliance in dynamic and large-scale environments.

The role involves working closely with customers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure robust security governance across all GCP assets.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement GCP security architectures using IAM, VPC Service Controls, Firewall Policies, and Security Perimeters.

- Configure and manage Google Cloud Security Command Center, Chronicle, Cloud Armor, Cloud DLP, and Cloud Key Management Service (KMS).

- Develop and maintain identity and access management (IAM) strategies ensuring least privilege and zero trust principles.

- Monitor cloud environments for security events using SIEM tools and integrate with threat intelligence platforms.

- Perform incident response activities and root cause analysis for security breaches or suspicious activities.

- Maintain and implement IDS/IPS solutions and cloud-native security analytics tools.

- Automate security configurations and guardrails using Terraform, Python, and Bash scripting.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enforce consistent and scalable security posture across environments.

- Conduct cloud security assessments and ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory standards (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.

- Prepare and assist with internal and external security audits, creating evidence and documentation as required.

- Build and manage dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Google Looker Studio, or BigQuery, to communicate risk and remediation strategies to IT leadership and customers.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to client and internal IT teams by addressing security concerns and architectural questions.

- Prepare and deliver presentations, proof-of-concepts, and technical documentation to explain complex security topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience in cloud security, with strong expertise in GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

- IAM, VPC Service Controls, firewall rules, security perimeters

- Google Security Command Center, Chronicle, Cloud Armor

- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and encryption key management (KMS)

- IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, and threat detection solutions

- Solid scripting and automation skills using Terraform, Python, or Bash.

- Experience in compliance audits, governance frameworks, and risk management practices.

- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven experience in visual storytelling with security data creating impactful presentations, PPTs, and dashboards
