Job Title : GCP Infrastructure Architect

About the Role :

Were seeking a seasoned GCP Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Google Cloud solutions. Youll work across teams to architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructures, accelerate cloud migrations, integrate GenAI services, and establish best practices in infrastructure engineering.

Responsibilities :

1. Cloud Strategy & Architecture :

- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective GCP architectures, including networking (VPC, Cloud Interconnect), hybrid/multi-cloud setups, service mesh, and container orchestration.

- Develop cloud foundations: VPC, IAM, security posture, logging, monitoring, and governance frameworks.

2. Migration & Modernization :

- Lead migrations from on-prem and other clouds (AWS/Azure) to GCPcovering VMs, containers, data services, analytics, and AI workloads.

3. Infrastructure as Code & Automation :

- Implement IaC using Terraform, Deployment Manager, Ansible, or similar tools for full lifecycle automation.

- Automate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.

4. Containerization & Orchestration :

- Deploy and manage Docker & Kubernetes infrastructure on GKE; ideally with Anthos/Service Mesh experience.

5. Data, AI/ML Integration :

- Architect large-scale analytics and ML pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Vertex AI.

6. Security & Compliance :

- Ensure security and compliance (ISO, SOC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR) via IAM, encryption, policy-as-code, vulnerability management, and tools such as Wiz.

7. Performance & Cost Optimization :

- Proactively optimize performance, monitor service utilization, and recommend cost-saving measures.

8. Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Reliability :

- Set up logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis processes.

9. Collaboration & Leadership :

- Liaise with engineering, DevOps, data scientists, product, and business teams to drive alignment.

- Mentor team members and stakeholders, and define governance standards and reference architectures.

10. Documentation & Governance :

- Prepare architecture designs, migration runbooks, risk assessments, security audits, and policy documents.

Required Qualifications :

Experience : 712 years in Cloud or Infrastructure Architecture, with 4+ years on GCP

Education : Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related

Technical Skills :

- Deep proficiency in GCP : Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Vertex AI, IAM, VPC, etc.

- IaC tools : Terraform, Ansible, Deployment Manager

- Containerization & orchestration : Docker, Kubernetes, Anthos, Istio

- CI/CD : Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build

- Security & compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)

- Networking : VPN, VPC, Interconnect, service mesh

- Scripting skills : Python, Bash, Go

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications : Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud Security Engineer; AWS/Azure certifications are a plus

- Tools : Experience with Wiz or similar security platforms

- Advanced Cloud : Anthos, Istio, hybrid/multi-cloud migrations to GCVE

- AI/ML : Experience integrating Vertex AI, BigQuery Analytics pipelines
