We are hiring a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Scala. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines and working with streaming and batch data processing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP
- Work extensively with BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics
- Implement real-time and batch data processing using Dataflow
- Develop and optimize data processing applications using Scala
- Integrate messaging systems like Pub/Sub or Kafka for streaming pipelines
- Build serverless solutions using Cloud Functions
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions
Mandatory Skills :
- Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands-on expertise in BigQuery
- Experience with Pub/Sub or Kafka (messaging/streaming systems)
- Strong programming skills in Scala (mandatory)
- Experience with Dataflow (Apache Beam)
- Working knowledge of Cloud Functions
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in designing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Knowledge of distributed data processing and big data ecosystems
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
Qualification :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
