Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GCP Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of our data pipelines and data warehouse. Your work will directly impact our ability to derive valuable insights from data, enabling better decision-making and improved business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable and reliable ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into BigQuery.

- Develop and maintain data models and schemas in BigQuery to support analytical and reporting requirements.

- Write complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and manipulate data for various business needs.

- Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing, automation, and API integrations.

- Manage and optimize the performance of data pipelines and BigQuery queries to ensure efficient data processing.

- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide them with the necessary data infrastructure and support.

- Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

- Work with JSON and XML data formats for data ingestion and transformation.

- Administer and maintain Apache servers used in the data pipeline infrastructure.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using BigQuery.

- Proven expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and manipulation.

- Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and API integrations.

- Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes for ingesting and transforming data from various sources.

- Ability to work with JSON and XML data formats.

- Experience in administering and maintaining Apache servers.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Adaptable to a fast-paced, collaborative environment in Bangalore.
