GCP Cloud Engineer

As a GCP Cloud Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with development teams, security engineers, and product managers to ensure our applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.

You'll be instrumental in automating infrastructure deployments, optimizing cloud costs, and troubleshooting production issues. Your work will directly impact the performance and availability of our services, ensuring a seamless experience for our users and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency for various applications.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, reducing manual effort and ensuring consistency across environments.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Python and Go, accelerating software delivery and improving code quality.

- Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability on GCP, ensuring a seamless user experience.

- Conduct security assessments and implement security best practices on GCP, protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents on GCP, minimizing impact to users and ensuring business continuity.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Proven ability to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform.

- Strong programming skills in Python and Go, with experience in developing CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, and firewalls.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues in a complex cloud environment.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

- Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
