Job Summary :

We are looking for a GCP Cloud Data Fusion Engineer to design, develop, and manage scalable data integration and pipeline solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cloud Data Fusion and GCP data services, enabling efficient data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration for analytics and business intelligence use cases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines using GCP Cloud Data Fusion.

- Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data from multiple sources into cloud-based data platforms.

- Integrate Cloud Data Fusion pipelines with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.

- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.

- Ensure data quality, validation, and monitoring across pipelines.

- Implement logging, error handling, and alerting mechanisms for production data workflows.

- Support deployment, scheduling, and orchestration of data pipelines using CI/CD and automation practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline failures and performance issues.

- Document data flows, pipeline logic, and technical configurations.

Requirements / Qualifications :

Education & Experience :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud data integration, or ETL development.

- Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Data Fusion in production environments.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of data integration concepts, ETL/ELT patterns, and data warehousing.

- Experience working with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Composer.

- Proficiency in SQL and experience handling large-scale datasets.

- Familiarity with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.

- Experience with REST APIs and integrating third-party data sources.

- Working knowledge of version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.

- Understanding of data security, access controls, and compliance best practices on GCP.

Preferred / Good to Have :

- Experience with other data integration or ETL tools.

- Knowledge of Python or Java for custom pipeline logic.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Exposure to data governance, metadata management, or data quality frameworks.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
