Job Overview:

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with strong expertise in cloud-native architecture and distributed systems. The candidate will lead the design and development of scalable applications on GCP and drive technical excellence across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

- Define and drive cloud-native architecture using GCP

- Lead system design for large-scale distributed applications

- Partner with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps

- Identify and mitigate technical risks and debt

Engineering & Development:

- Lead modernization of legacy systems to microservices architecture

- Develop and review high-quality, production-ready code

- Ensure scalability, performance, security, and reliability

Cloud & Platform:

- Work with GCP services (GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, etc.)

- Drive CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure automation

- Ensure high availability, resilience, and cost optimization

Mentorship:

- Mentor senior engineers and technical teams

- Promote engineering best practices and innovation

Required Skills:

- Strong programming experience (Java / Go / Python / C#)

- Expertise in microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems

- Strong experience with GCP or other cloud platforms

- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes

- Experience in CI/CD, monitoring, and production systems

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Good to Have

- Experience with Big Data tools (BigQuery, Spark)

- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization (FinOps)

- Agile/Scrum experience
