Job Description

Key Responsibilities :


- Architect, design, and implement scalable and secure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.


- Provide end-to-end support for GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) clusters - including setup, configuration, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.


- Manage L4 and L7 gateways (Load Balancers, Ingress Controllers, API Gateways) with expertise in deployment, routing, and issue resolution. Implement and manage TLS/mTLS configurations, certificate management, and secure communication protocols across environments.


- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues related to GCP and GKE, including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewall rules, and connectivity.


- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and Helm charts for consistent and automated deployments.


- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and SRE teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows.


- Implement monitoring, observability, and tracing solutions using tools like OpenTelemetry (OTEL), Splunk, and Keycloak for authentication and access control.


- Lead and support cloud migration initiatives, ensuring minimal downtime, proper data migration, and security compliance.


- Drive performance tuning, cost optimization, and capacity planning for GCP workloads.


- Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, runbooks, and technical documentation.


- Stay updated with the latest GCP technologies, DevOps practices, and containerization trends, -recommending relevant adoptions to enhance system efficiency.


Required Skills and Experience :


- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture.


- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - including Compute, Networking, IAM, and Cloud Storage.


- Proven expertise in GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) design, deployment, and maintenance.


- Deep understanding of Layer 4 (TCP/UDP) and Layer 7 (HTTP/HTTPS) gateways and load balancers.


- Strong knowledge of TLS/mTLS, SSL certificates, and encryption mechanisms.


- Experience with network troubleshooting within GCP and GKE environments.


- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Helm for IaC-based infrastructure automation.


- Proficiency in DevOps tools and workflows, especially GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.


- Familiarity with OTEL (OpenTelemetry), Splunk, and Keycloak for monitoring, observability, and security.


- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.


- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams.


Preferred Qualifications :


- GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification (highly preferred).


- Experience with cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift, modernization, and hybrid deployments.


- Knowledge of multi-cloud environments and interoperability between AWS, Azure, and GCP.


- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC, GDPR).


- Experience with Kubernetes operators, service meshes (Istio/Linkerd), and container security tools
