Job Description

Job Purpose :

As a senior technical consultant, you will lead complex implementation, upgrade, integration, and customisation projects.

You will convert customers business needs into technical solutions and be the go-to person for mentoring junior consultants.

Main Duties & Responsibilities :

- Make a significant contribution to the successful management of customer relationships and for the identification of new opportunities within the existing customer base and thereby maximising revenue.

- Perform the project plan and SOW QA and suggest appropriate changes.

- Proactively identify and communicate project risks to the Project Manager and solve them appropriately.

- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on their projects.

- Assist Project Managers in post go-live project assessment.

- Understand the business use of configurations vs customisations.

- Participate in the implementation, upgrade, configuration, customisation and deployment of solutions.

- Integrate BMC Helix with external systems using REST APIs/SOAP web services, Pentaho Spoon, etc.

- Ensure that implementations align with best practices and industry standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide status updates on project deliverables, and ensure seamless integration with downstream systems.

- Stay up-to-date with product roadmaps, releases, features and updates.

- Mentor junior consultants, share knowledge and insights with the team and contribute to continuous learning.

Experience :

7+ years of experience with BMC Helix ITSM, Digital Workplace, Smart IT, etc.

Skills :

- Learning Agility : Master the secondary skills and transform them to primary skills.


- Learn peripheral technologies helpful in the project delivery.

- Problem Solving : Identify project risks proactively and coordinate with Architect/PM for solutionising them.

- Technical Adaptability : Assist in technical QA, design technical solutions, and adapt to technology changes.

- Team Collaboration : Mentor and influence collaboration across teams.


- Coach and mentor junior team members.

- Communication Skills : Communicate with customers and stakeholders with clear and concise communication.

- Ownership and Accountability : Take ownership and accountability for the complete solution.

- Time and Task Management : Manage your and team's time effectively.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Good to have relevant product certifications and ITIL certification.
