Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Software Testing Engineer Automation with 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, API testing, and strong hands-on expertise in .NET and C#.

The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to Banking/Financial Services applications, automation framework development, API/microservices testing, and Agile delivery.

The role will involve designing and implementing scalable automation solutions, validating banking workflows and APIs, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development, product, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using C# and .NET.

- Develop automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, microservices, and backend systems.

- Perform REST/SOAP API testing and automate API test scenarios.

- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end test suites.

- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.

- Validate banking workflows, transactions, integrations, and data flows.

- Perform database/backend validation using SQL.

- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA/Azure DevOps.

- Perform root-cause analysis of automation failures and application defects.

- Develop reusable automation components, utilities, test data, and reporting mechanisms.

- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, estimation, and retrospectives.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers.

- Support SIT, UAT, production validation, and release activities.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation coverage, framework stability, and testing processes.

- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance where required.

Mandatory Skills :

- 7+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.

- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.

- Strong experience in Test Automation Framework development.

- Hands-on experience in API Testing and API Automation.

- Good knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication, authorization, and status codes.

- Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, RestSharp or similar API automation tools.

- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, NUnit, xUnit, SpecFlow/BDD, or equivalent.

- Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.

- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps/Jenkins.

- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect life cycle, and Agile/Scrum.

- Strong experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain.

Banking Domain Experience :

Candidates should have exposure to one or more of the following :

- Core Banking

- Digital Banking / Net Banking

- Payments and Transaction Processing

- Retail or Corporate Banking

- Account Management

- Fund Transfers

- UPI / NEFT / RTGS / IMPS

- Cards and Payment Gateway integrations

- Banking APIs and Microservices

- Third-party financial system integrations

Good to Have :

- Experience with Playwright or Cypress.

- Experience with SpecFlow / BDD / Gherkin.

- Knowledge of Microservices testing.

- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines/Jenkins/GitHub Actions.

- Exposure to performance testing using JMeter.

- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes or cloud-based applications.

- Experience with mocking/service virtualization tools.

- Knowledge of banking standards and transaction processing.

- Experience in framework design from scratch.

- ISTQB certification is an advantage.
