Functional Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform functional testing for mobile applications (iOS/Android)

- Conduct thorough API testing using Postman and validate responses

- Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements and convert

them into effective test plans

- Create and maintain test artifacts including test cases, test data, test plans, defect reports, and test strategies

- Execute test cases and report bugs, ensuring complete traceability of test coverage

- Validate data through SQL queries for backend verification

- Work within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups

- Provide input into automation testing strategies and best practices

Required Skills :

- Domain Expertise : Strong experience in BFSI/Banking sector (Mandatory)

- Mobile App Testing : 2 - 4 years of hands-on testing experience for mobile apps

- API Testing : Proficiency in using Postman for testing REST APIs

- Testing Tools : Hands-on experience with JIRA, Zephyr, or similar tools

- Agile Methodologies : Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

- SQL : Basic to intermediate-level knowledge for data validation

- Automation Awareness : Good understanding of automation testing concepts

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus
