Technical Functional Consultant (Global Custody & Banking)

Role Overview :

The Technical Functional Consultant is a highly experienced role requiring 12 to 16 years of overall experience, based in Trivandrum/Thiruvananthapuram.

Experience with Global Custody/Sub-Custody domain in the Banking sector is a must for this role.

The incumbent will bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery, focusing on solution design, documentation (BRD, FSD), and client engagement, with a requirement to join within 30 days.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Functional Consultant (1216 years experience) with mandatory deep domain expertise in Global Custody/Sub-Custody within the Banking sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong client-facing experience and be proficient in creating critical project documentation (BRD, FSD, functional specifications). Key responsibilities include analyzing complex business requirements, providing tailored product solutions, defining clear functional specifications and user stories, and utilizing basic SQL Queries for data validation and analysis. Immediate availability (within 30 days) is required.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Domain and Solution Expertise :

- Leverage extensive Experience with Global Custody/Sub-Custody domain in the Banking sector to understand complex business processes (e.g., settlement, corporate actions, regulatory reporting).

- Take responsibility for Providing solution to the business requirement through product functionality, ensuring alignment with domain best practices and industry regulations.

Documentation and Requirements Management :

- Demonstrate Ability to write clear functional specifications and user stories that effectively guide development and QA teams.

- Lead the creation and sign-off of mandatory project documents : BRD (Business Requirement Document) and FSD (Functional Specification Document).

- Ensure technical solutions align with the documented functional requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

Client Engagement and Technical Analysis :

- Utilize strong Client-facing experience to lead requirement gathering sessions, conduct product demonstrations, and manage stakeholder expectations.

- Apply Basic SQL Queries for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting during testing and implementation phases.

- Collaborate closely with technical development teams, translating complex functional needs into technical tasks and providing functional guidance.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 12 to 16 years of overall experience.

- Domain : Experience with Global Custody/Sub-Custody domain in Banking sector is a must.

- Documentation : Proven ability to write clear functional specifications and user stories and experience creating BRD, FSD documents.

- Consulting : Client-facing experience and ability to provide solutioning through product functionality.

- Technical : Proficiency with Basic SQL Queries.

- Logistics : Looking for candidate who can join us within 30 days.

Preferred Skills :

- Advanced knowledge of specific custody platforms or core banking systems.

- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence).

- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements within the custody domain (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank).

- Experience in conducting functional training for end-users and business teams.
