Full Stack Engineer - Backend Engineering - Java

Job Title : Full Stack Engineer Backend Focus (75% Backend, 25% Frontend)

- We are looking for experienced Full Stack Engineers with a strong backend engineering focus to design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance services and APIs.

- The role involves working across the stack, with primary ownership of backend systems while also contributing to modern, user-friendly web interfaces.

- You will collaborate closely with product, frontend, DevOps, and platform teams to solve complex problems in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment while maintaining high standards of code quality and reliability.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java (Spring / Spring Boot).

- Write highly optimized, efficient, and maintainable code, applying strong Data Structures and Algorithms fundamentals.

- Build and operate distributed systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Design and manage data models using SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

- Implement and maintain GraphQL-based web services.

- Ensure backend services are production-ready, observable, and fault-tolerant.

- Contribute to building and enhancing modern web user interfaces using React and TypeScript.

- Collaborate with designers and frontend engineers to deliver intuitive and responsive UI experiences.

- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services.

- Work with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated deployments.

- Build and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Develop and operate cloud-native applications in a production environment.

- Participate in on-call rotations and actively contribute to system reliability and incident resolution.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, design, QA, and platform teams.

- Take ownership of features from design through deployment and production support.

- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.

- Operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving problem spaces.

- 5-8 years of strong backend engineering experience.

- Proficiency in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

- Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.

- Strong command of Data Structures and Algorithms with proven ability to write optimized code (must-have).

- Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.

- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling.

- Working knowledge of GraphQL web services.

- Experience across the full stack, including modern web UI development.

- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
