About the job :
You will work on POS systems, payment terminals, kiosks, waiter applications, inventory tools, and online ordering websites.
The role requires strong backend and frontend expertise with the ability to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Work on responsive web applications and mobile-friendly dashboards.
- Develop scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs for POS and payment systems.
- Integrate third-party APIs (payments, scanning, printers, delivery platforms).
- Implement real-time data synchronization between POS, KDS, kiosk, and back office.
- Ensure security compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR/UK DPA).
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA teams for Agile delivery.
- Optimize performance, database queries, and cloud infrastructure.
Required Skills :
- Backend : PHP (Laravel/Symfony).
- Database : MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Cloud : AWS with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with payment APIs (Stripe, Viva, WorldPay, etc.
- Hands-on with barcode/RFID scanning, receipt printers, and terminal SDKs.
- Familiarity with offline-first design for POS systems.
AI Product Knowledge (Required) :
- Knowledge of NLP for chatbot/waiter apps (order-taking via AI assistant).
- Familiarity with Computer Vision for scanning/inventory recognition.
- Experience with recommendation engines for upselling in online ordering.
- Ability to integrate AI APIs (OpenAI, AWS AI, Google ML Kit, TensorFlow Lite)
