Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Consultant with a minimum of 8 years in IT and specialized expertise in Microsoft Azure to provide high-value, chargeable consulting services.

This role is focused on designing, implementing, and delivering secure, turnkey Azure-based and on-premises infrastructure solutions.

The Consultant will be a primary driver for complex cloud migrations, hybrid cloud architecture design (using tools like Azure Arc), and mandatory implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices (Terraform/Bicep) to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing client environments.

Job Description :

Cloud Architecture and Solution Design :

- Lead consulting assignments focused on deep technical design and architecture of resilient, high-availability, and cost-optimized infrastructure primarily within Microsoft Azure.

- Design and implement end-to-end cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming) from complex on-premises environments to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.

- Architect and configure complex Hybrid Cloud Architectures, utilizing Azure technologies like Azure Arc, Azure Networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways), and Hybrid Identity (Azure AD/Entra ID).

- Translate high-level business requirements and technical constraints into detailed low-level designs and implementation runbooks for both cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Automation :

- Mandatorily drive the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles using Terraform and native Azure tools like ARM Templates or Bicep for automated and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.

- Develop and maintain robust automation scripts using languages such as PowerShell or Python to manage cloud resources, perform day-two operations, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).

- Ensure all infrastructure designs adhere to established security and compliance blueprints, implementing fine-grained access controls and adhering to Azure landing zone principles.

Project Delivery and Stakeholder Accountability :

- Lead the technical execution and delivery of project-based consulting assignments, ensuring all solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.

- Serve as the key technical resource, interacting directly with client stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to define scope and manage technical dependencies.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational runbooks for seamless client handover.

- Provide expert guidance on best practices for operating systems (Windows Server/Linux) and virtualization technologies in both on-premises and Azure environments.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Experience : Mandatory 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with significant time spent in cloud-focused consulting roles.

- Core Cloud : Expert proficiency in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, Networking, Security, Governance).

- IaC : Mandatory hands-on experience with Terraform for cloud resource provisioning.

- Hybrid Cloud : Proven ability to design and implement hybrid cloud architectures and technologies (e.g., Azure Arc, ExpressRoute).

- Automation : Strong scripting skills using PowerShell or Python for infrastructure automation.

- Migrations : Experience leading technical aspects of large-scale cloud migration projects.

- Security : Strong grasp of cloud security principles, governance, and identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID).

- Soft Skills : Excellent client-facing communication, technical presentation, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.

- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline implementation.

- Knowledge of complementary technologies such as Cisco/Juniper networking in an on-premises context
