Overview :

We are looking for a Director, Frontend Engineering to lead one of our key Experience domain groups powering a large-scale, federated micro-frontend architecture (including shared shell, micro-frontends, shared design systems, and supporting tooling).

This is an end-to-end outcome-ownership role. As a true engineering partner, you will lead delivery across key experience domains, build and run self-sufficient engineering pods, set high hiring bars, and serve as an authoritative architectural and leadership voice collaborating closely with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- End-to-End Outcome Ownership : Take complete accountability for business outcomes within your domain - from evaluating trade-offs and establishing technical direction to ensuring quality, performance, and long-term production stability.

- Pod & Delivery Leadership : Stand up and run self-sufficient pods (or pod-of-pods). Maintain lightweight delivery governance and directly resolve/escalate critical engineering blockers.

- Hiring & Talent Attraction : Personally drive hiring and vetting to attract top engineering talent capable of competing with premier technology markets.

- Cross-Geographic Partnership : Act as a core peer and leadership extension to global counterparts, attending key architectural forums, establishing alignment across backend/Salesforce/SRE teams, and driving joint technical decisions.

- Architectural Authority & Engineering Culture : Bridge high-level architectural proposals with production execution. Foster a lean, innovation-driven, servant-leadership culture that prioritizes guardrails and automation over bureaucratic processes.

- AI-Assisted SDLC & Modernization : Champion AI-assisted development workflows (planning agents, AI testing, and coding assistants) to boost engineering velocity and quality.

Requirements :

Experience & Leadership :

- 15+ years of total software engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles (Director or equivalent) owning delivery for teams of 50+ engineers.

- Proven track record of scaling engineering organizations within a Global Capability Center (GCC) or global delivery model that emphasizes end-to-end outcome ownership over staff augmentation.

- Strong leadership presence with a track record of building cross-border trust, driving technical consensus, and operating with autonomy.

Technical Capabilities :

- Architecture : Deep familiarity with micro-frontend (MFE) and federated frontend architectures (e.g., Module Federation, shared shells, design systems, and independent domain deployments).

- Modern Stack Knowledge : Broad technical fluency across modern frontend ecosystems - React (e.g., React 19), state management/routing frameworks (TanStack Router/Query), design systems, and modern build/test tooling (Rspack, Vitest).

- CI/CD & Automation : Experience establishing automated "guardrails-over-gatekeeping" pipelines (automated linting, security checks, TypeScript validation, live review environments).

- System Integration : Solid grasp of API/backend integration layers (Salesforce, MuleSoft, microservices) to effectively debate data translation and integration boundaries.

- Observability & Operations : Working knowledge of production telemetry and observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace) to monitor domain health.

Good-to-Have Experience :

- Domain expertise in Telecommunications or large-scale digital/e-commerce retail platforms.

- Direct hands-on background in React or comparable modern frontend frameworks.

- Practical exposure to AI-assisted software development life cycle (SDLC) tooling.
