Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and product-focused Frontend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will work across the frontend stack, build delightful user experiences, set UI/UX and architectural foundations, and ship features fast without compromising quality, security, or performance.

This role gives you the opportunity to create digital insurance systems that are clean, modern, scalable, and a joy to use.

Key Responsibilities :

Frontend Development :

- Design, develop, and ship high-quality frontend features for next-gen insurance products.

- Build intuitive, responsive, and performant user interfaces using React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS and Shadcn UI.

- Implement clean, reusable, and scalable component architectures with sound state management practices (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Recoil).

Product Ownership & Collaboration :

- Own features end-to-end - from technical design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

- Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate user needs into exceptional product experiences.

- Participate in architectural discussions, contribute to coding standards, and define frontend best practices.

Iterative Development & Performance Optimization :

- Rapidly prototype and iterate based on user insights, analytics, and feedback loops.

- Optimize frontend performance, accessibility, security, and SEO (especially for Next.js).

- Ensure top-tier user experience while maintaining robust security and performance standards.

Cross-functional Curiosity :

- Work occasionally with backend engineers to understand or help shape APIs supporting UI flows.

- Explore and adopt modern frontend tooling and technologies to keep Kiwi on the cutting edge.

Requirements :

Must-Have Qualifications :

- 3+ years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack development.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and modern frontend tooling.

- Experience building production-grade frontend systems and user-facing features.

- Solid understanding of component-driven development, state management, routing, and data fetching.

- Experience working across the product lifecyclefrom MVP development to scalable systems.

- Passion for solving customer problems with elegant, intuitive interfaces.

Good-to-Have / Bonus Skills :

- Experience with Next.js (SSR/SSG), API integration, or performance optimization.

- Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, Shadcn UI, Chakra UI, etc.

- Exposure to backend APIs (Node.js, REST, GraphQL).

- Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress).

- Understanding of web security practices.
