Job Description : Front-End Software Development Engineer

About the role :

As a Front-End Software Development Engineer I (SDE I), you will play a pivotal role in shaping our ambitious neo-banking platform for SMEs in India. Your primary responsibility will be translating Sketch/Invision/Figma designs into responsive, high-performance web pages. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and designers, to deliver new features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the best possible user experience for our customers.

Responsibilities :

- Convert Sketch/Invision/Figma designs into fully functional web pages.

- Write reusable and high-performance code to create scalable front-end solutions.

- Develop responsive code optimized for Web, tablet, and mobile devices.

- Actively contribute to the development of robust applications and prototypes.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other team members to ship new features, resolve issues, and continuously improve the product.

- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing business needs promptly.

- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to achieve collective goals.

Requirements :

- Proficient in any web based framework, willingness to learn Angular 12+.

- Proficiency in HTML5 and JavaScript / Typescript.

- Good knowledge of CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and LESS or SASS.

- Proficiency in understanding and consuming REST Web Services/RESTful APIs.

- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

- Ability and willingness to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and growth within the team.

Additional Preferred Skills :

While the following skills are not mandatory, experience in any of these areas will be considered an advantage :

- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.

- Experience with server-side technologies such as Node.js, Java, Ruby, or Python.

- Exposure to Electron framework for building desktop applications.

- Knowledge of Web sockets and socket clients for real-time communication.

- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and familiarity with testing libraries like Jasmine and Karma.
