Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, and deploy user interfaces for advanced medical imaging platforms using modern web technologies (React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 CSS3).
- Customise and extend the medical image Viewer to support the review, visualisation, and manipulation of DICOM studies and multi-modality imaging workflows.
- Implement and optimise LLM-powered features within the imaging viewer, such as natural-language search, study summarisation, and intelligent workflow assistance.
- Build responsive, accessible, and intuitive web applications that support the review and manipulation of medical images (DICOM).
- Integrate frontend applications with backend services and PACS systems via RESTful APIs, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, clinicians, and backend engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimise frontend applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and maintain high code quality standards.
- Stay current with emerging frontend and medical imaging technologies and industry trends.
- Document architecture, technical design decisions, and APIs, and actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies and processes.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of frontend development experience with a focus on healthcare or medical imaging software.
- Proficient in JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Next.js, React.js, Angular, or Vue.js .
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 CSS3 and responsive web design principles.
- Practical experience working with medical image formats (DICOM) and PACS integration.
- Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of healthcare standards and data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with DICOM viewers (e. g., CornerstoneJS, OHIF) and medical imaging toolkits (vtk.js ).
- Strong frontend architecture design and component development skills.
- Experience in integrating frontend with REST APIs and backend services.
- Knowledge of security best practices for healthcare software.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Familiarity with medical data standards (HL7 FHIR) is a bonus.
- Background in AI/ML-enabled medical imaging platforms or neuroscience applications.
- Experience with frontend build tools, performance optimisation, and accessibility standards.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality UX.
