Job Title : Technical Business Analyst
Job summary :
We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to lead business analysis and support the implementation of labelling software involved in regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate should possess strong working experience in successful implementation of software and systems used in the pharmaceutical industry.
Roles and responsibilities :
Technical requirements gathering and analysis :
- Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to gather, analyse, and document complex business requirements and translate them into clear, detailed technical specifications and user stories.
System and data analysis :
- Perform system gap analysis on existing application and software to identify opportunities for enhancement and integration.
Solution design and implementation :
- Work with developers, architects, and QA engineers to design, build, and implement new technical solutions and system integrations.
- Ensure technical designs meet business objectives and performance standards.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and product demos with clients
Technical documentation :
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process models, data dictionaries, and user guides.
System testing and quality assurance :
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are implemented accurately. Work with stakeholders in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that final solution meet all business and technical requirements.
Project and stakeholder management :
- Support the project manager in tracking progress, managing risks, and facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Issue resolution and support :
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues that impact business operations, working with IT support and development teams to find and implement effective solutions.
Required skills and qualifications :
Technical skills :
Data and database :
- Experience with database management systems like Post GRE SQL Server or Oracle will be preferred.
Modelling and methodologies :
- Familiarity with process modelling tools such as Microsoft Visio and experience with software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum.
Programming knowledge :
- Basic competence in programming languages such as JavaScript, Shell scripting is often beneficial for working with developers.
System integration :
- Hands-on experience with system integrations, APIs, and cloud-based software solutions (e.g., Dell Boo).
Soft skills :
Analytical and critical thinking :
- Ability to break down and solve complex technical and business problems in a logical and data-driven manner.
Communication :
- Exceptional verbal and written skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and articulating business needs to technical teams.
Problem-solving :
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving technical and operational issues efficiently.
Adaptability :
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
Educational and experience requirements :
Education :
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
Experience :
- Overall 8+ years of experience as a business analyst or systems analyst in an IT environment is expected.
Certifications :
- Professional certifications like the IIBA's Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Analysis Certification (AAC) are preferred.
