How will you make an impact in this role ?

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to lead automation initiatives across web applications and microservices-based platforms.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in API and UI automation, hands-on experience in building scalable test frameworks, and the ability to lead QA automation strategies in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Education : Bachelors / Masters in Software Engineering

What You'll Be Doing :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing frameworks

- Drive end-to-end QA automation strategy for web and API-based applications

- Build and maintain robust API automation suites using RestAssured

- Develop and execute UI automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright

- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, DevOps, and cross-functional teams

- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across distributed microservices architecture

- Integrate automation suites within CI/CD pipelines for faster and reliable releases

- Identify, track, and drive closure of critical defects and quality gaps

- Improve overall test efficiency, stability, and execution speed

- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and SDETs

- Drive continuous improvement in quality engineering practices across teams

What Were Looking For :

- 4-5 years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles

- Strong hands-on expertise in :

1. Java

2. RestAssured (API Automation)

3. Selenium WebDriver

4. Playwright

- Strong understanding of API testing and microservices architecture

- Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch

- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design principles, and SDLC/STLC

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps

- Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git

- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
