Role Overview:

We are looking for a Founding Senior Backend Engineer to join our seed-funded WealthTech startup. You will own the backend architecture end to end, setting engineering standards in a fast-paced environment.

What you will do:

- Build production-grade systems for B2C products at meaningful consumer scale.

- Utilize LLMs and agentic tooling across the SDLC, from design and code generation through testing and debugging.

- Own backend architecture end to end, including greenfield builds and early architecture calls.

- Design, build, and maintain APIs and backend services, including integrations with third-party platforms.

- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, focusing on data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Requirements:

- 7+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience using Node.js.

- Proven experience building and shipping products that use LLMs and agentic workflows.

- Deep understanding of backend fundamentals: API development, service-oriented architecture, data structures, and algorithms.

- B.Tech or Dual degree from Tier 1 Engineering Institutes (IITs). Candidates from other institutions will be considered only if they have experience at top-tier product companies.

- Stable career history with consistent tenure.

- Comfortable with a compensation structure matching current CTC plus ESOPs (no salary hike).

- Willingness to work from the office, 6 days a week.

Note:

- Previous founding engineer or early-team startup experience is a plus.

- Candidates currently working at Stable Money will not be considered.
