Job Title : Founding Engineer - Full Stack

(50% Hands-on Individual Contributor)

About the Role :

We are looking for a Tech Lead who will play a key role in building and scaling a high-growth product company. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, where approximately 50% of your time will be spent actively contributing to the codebase and 50% leading engineering initiatives and mentoring the team.

You will help drive the technical vision, ensure strong engineering practices, and work closely with the founding team to scale a product designed for global impact.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Define and drive the technical architecture and engineering standards for the product.

- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance systems.

- Work closely with product and leadership teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Hands-on Development (Approx. 50%) :

- Actively contribute to the codebase and system design.

- Build and maintain core product features and backend services.

- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance through best engineering practices.

Infrastructure & DevOps :

- Manage and optimize infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and system reliability.

- Ensure scalability, security, and uptime of the platform.

Team Leadership & Mentorship :

- Mentor and support engineers to improve technical capability and delivery.

- Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on speed, quality, and ownership.

- Guide the team in maintaining clean architecture and efficient development processes.

Technology Stack :

- Backend : Node.js, Express, Python

- Frontend : React, Zod, Axios

- Languages : TypeScript, SQL, GraphQL

- Infrastructure : Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker/ECS/Cloud run/Kubernetes

- DevOps : CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation
