Roles and Responsibilities :

Server Management :

- Manage and administer servers hosted on GoDaddy, Bluehost, AWS, DigitalOcean, and similar platforms.

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat).

- Install, configure, and harden Windows Servers 2008/2012/2016, including Hyper-V and VMware servers.

Windows Infrastructure :

- Configure and manage Active Directory (AD), DHCP, DNS, FTP services.

- Perform AD replication monitoring, health checks, and troubleshooting.

- Manage Group Policies (GPO) creation, deployment, and troubleshooting.

- Configure and manage file servers, DFS, print servers, and data center server environments.

- Perform RAID configuration, disk management, and handle server hardware troubleshooting.

- Install and manage WSUS, SCCM, SCOM services for patching and monitoring.

- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Failover Cluster / Network Load Balancing (NLB).

Linux Infrastructure :

- Install, configure, and manage Linux-based servers with strong troubleshooting capabilities.

- Support OS clustering, virtualization, partitioning, and risk-based system operations.

- Install and configure Apache, NGINX, MySQL, and setup systems for Node.js applications.

- Perform SSL installation and certificate management.

- Provide break-fix support, server migrations, and daily Linux administration tasks.

Virtualization & Cloud :

- Support and manage VMware 6.5/6.7 cluster environments, virtual machines, and resource allocation.

- Work with cloud hosting providers for provisioning, monitoring, and securing cloud servers.

Network & Security :

- Basic networking troubleshooting : DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Trunking, Firewall configurations.

- Monitor system performance and diagnose hardware, software, and network issues.

- Implement server hardening best practices and security guidelines.

Backup & Recovery :

- Perform backup and restoration tasks including system state, NT Backup, and other backup tools.

- Maintain disaster recovery procedures, documentation, and regular health checks.

General Responsibilities :

- Create and manage user accounts and permissions.

- Monitor server performance, uptime, logs, and capacity planning.

- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure uptime, reliability, and compliance.

- Maintain documentation for server configurations, SOPs, and operational guidelines.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Linux & Windows server administration.

- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

- Solid understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP, FTP, DFS, GPO.

- Experience with web server configurations (Apache, NGINX, MySQL).

- Knowledge of cloud hosting platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GoDaddy, Bluehost).

- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, and network issues.

- Experience with RAID, disk management, backup systems, and recovery processes.

- Knowledge of server hardening, security, and monitoring tools.

- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
