Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled Platform Messaging Engineer with expertise in RabbitMQ to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise messaging platforms.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of messaging infrastructure that enables communication between distributed applications and services.
This role requires hands-on experience with RabbitMQ administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, automation, and high-availability environments.
Exposure to other messaging technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, or Azure Service Bus is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, configure, and administer RabbitMQ environments across development, testing, and production systems.
- Manage exchanges, queues, bindings, routing keys, virtual hosts, and access controls.
- Monitor messaging infrastructure health, availability, and performance.
- Perform capacity planning and optimize messaging throughput and latency.
- Configure and maintain RabbitMQ clustering, federation, and high-availability setups.
- Provide L2/L3 support for production messaging platforms.
- Investigate and resolve messaging-related incidents, bottlenecks, and failures.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and failover processes.
- Ensure platform uptime and compliance with defined SLAs.
- Develop automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices where applicable.
- Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages.
- Support platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Implement messaging security standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and operational standards.
- Manage user roles, permissions, certificates, and access policies.
- Configure monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Analyze platform metrics and logs to identify performance issues.
- Fine-tune RabbitMQ clusters for optimal performance and scalability.
- Create operational dashboards and reports.
- Work closely with application development, DevOps, infrastructure, and cloud teams.
- Provide technical guidance on messaging patterns and best practices.
- Participate in architecture discussions and platform enhancement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 to 10 years of experience in middleware, messaging platforms, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with RabbitMQ Administration and Support.

- Experience troubleshooting complex messaging issues in production environments.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
- Experience with scripting using :
a. Python
b. Shell Scripting
c. PowerShell (preferred)
- Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as :
a. Prometheus
b. Grafana
c. Splunk
d. ELK Stack
e. AppDynamics
f. Dynatrace
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Solace, or Azure Service Bus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms :
a. AWS
b. Azure
c. Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
