Flight Management System Test Engineer

Job Role : Flight Management System Test Engineer - FMS (Avionics)

Work Experience : 4 to 8 Years

Location : Bangalore

Key Responsibilities :

- Plan and execute system-level testing for FMS software and embedded avionics systems.

- Define system quality targets and monitor QA activities in collaboration with project leads.

- Conduct system milestone audits (CheckPoints) and track deviations and risks.

- Identify quality non-conformities and ensure resolution via Project Improvement Plans.

- Assess and report conformity with DO-178B/C standards and system development processes.

- Participate in Design Reviews (DR) / Technical Reviews (TR).

- Support internal and external audits, including OEM and supplier assessments.

- Ensure QRQC compliance and support problem-solving using PDCA, FTA, and LLC methods.

- Capture lessons learned and best practices to enhance process improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- 4 - 8 years of experience in avionics system testing, FMS software, or embedded systems QA.

- Hands-on experience with System Testing / Verification & Validation (V&V).

- Knowledge of DO-178B/C standards.

- Experience in Flight Management Systems (FMS) and embedded avionics projects.

- Expertise in Black Box Testing / White Box Testing for system and peripheral devices.

- Familiarity with milestone audits, supplier management, and quality metrics.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
