About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Core Banking Developer with hands-on experience in the development, implementation, and support of core banking systems, preferably Oracle FLEXCUBE UBS. The ideal candidate should have strong technical proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, XML, and Web Services, along with a solid understanding of banking workflows and financial services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications for core banking environments

- Translate business and technical requirements into functional software solutions

- Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions using Oracle SQL & PL/SQL

- Work on Web Services, SOA, RESTful APIs, HTTP integrations, and Microservices-based architectures

- Use development tools like Eclipse, JUnit, and JMeter for building and performance testing applications

- Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams for software design and integration

- Support implementation, unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT cycles

- Prepare technical documentation including solution design, architecture, and status reports

- Adhere to code versioning, change control, and Oracle/client compliance and quality standards

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle SQL / PL-SQL (stored procedures, triggers, views)

- Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, and integration via Web Services (SOAP/REST)

- Experience working with SOA, Microservices, and Eventing frameworks

- Familiarity with Oracle Database tools and basic database administration

- Exposure to JUnit, JMeter, or similar testing and performance tools

- Working knowledge of Eclipse IDE and UML modeling tools

- Experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE UBS is highly preferred

Domain Knowledge : Understanding of banking and financial services processes. Exposure to core banking systems and digital banking platforms.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and documentation

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and regions

- Proficient in preparing solution designs and technical documentation

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

- 4-7 years of relevant experience in Core Banking software development and support

Preferred :

- Experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE UBS

- Prior experience in banking IT environments with global delivery models
