Fleetx.io - Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of strong AWS and automation experience to join our DevOps engineering team.

You will own and operate production infrastructure, drive best practices in CI/CD and observability, and ensure zero-downtime deployments.

This role demands hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, automation (Terraform/Ansible), and security hardening, along with the ability to safely perform production changes and optimizations.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Infrastructure & Automation :

- Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / Ansible, ensuring repeatable and auditable provisioning.

- Own Kubernetes clusters (EKS) - scaling, upgrades, deployments, and cluster policies.

- Implement GitOps-based automation for infrastructure and application lifecycle management.

2. CI/CD & Deployment Management :

- Enforce best practices in code promotion, environment segregation, and change control.

- Ensure production changes follow defined rollout, rollback, and verification procedures.

- Implement automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks within pipelines.

3. Observability & Reliability :

- Define SLIs/SLOs for core systems and automate incident detection and response.

- Participate in on-call rotations and drive post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.

- Proactively identify system bottlenecks and drive reliability improvements.

4. Security & Compliance :

- Implement network segmentation, security groups, and VPC best practices.

- Collaborate with the security team for CIS benchmarks, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.

- Ensure compliance with SOC2, ISO 27001, and internal change management policies.

5. Cost & Performance Optimization :

- Build dashboards for infrastructure utilization and cost visibility.

- Partner with finance and product teams to balance performance with cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, ALB/NLB).

- Experience in Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Docker-based microservice deployments.

- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.

- Skilled in CI/CD implementation and release management (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).

- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, Loki).

- Sound understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and SSL/TLS.

- Proven ability to execute production deployments safely and document operational changes.

- Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
