Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with specialized experience in testing mobile applications involving Bluetooth and firmware integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of mobile applications that communicate with Bluetooth-enabled devices, including validation of firmware updates. This role requires strong expertise in mobile application testing, Bluetooth protocols, firmware validation, and test automation.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications with Bluetooth integration and firmware components.

- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application quality across various devices, operating systems, and hardware configurations.

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, compatibility, and system-level testing.

Bluetooth Testing :

- Execute Bluetooth protocol testing, including device pairing, communication, data transmission, and connectivity validation.

- Test Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality, range, interoperability, and compliance with Bluetooth SIG standards.

- Validate Bluetooth functionality across multiple devices, OS versions, and hardware environments.

- Analyze, troubleshoot, and verify resolution of Bluetooth connectivity and performance issues.

Firmware Testing :

- Validate firmware updates for Bluetooth-enabled devices to ensure expected functionality and compatibility with mobile applications.

- Collaborate with firmware development teams to assess changes and identify potential impacts on application performance.

- Conduct regression testing following firmware updates to verify stability and reliability.

Defect Tracking & Reporting :

- Identify, document, track, and report defects using tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Quality Center.

- Collaborate with development teams to investigate, reproduce, and resolve issues.

- Provide detailed defect reports with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.

Automation & Tools :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Bluetooth and firmware-related features.

- Utilize automation frameworks and continuous integration tools to improve testing efficiency.

- Support test environment setup and maintenance for accurate and repeatable test execution.

API & Mobile Testing :

- Perform API testing in mobile environments.

- Validate application behavior under varying network conditions, device limitations, and data-handling scenarios.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, firmware engineers, product managers, and designers.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Provide clear and concise updates on testing progress, risks, issues, and results to stakeholders.

- Serve as a key liaison between QA and other departments.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement :

- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation.

- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and quality standards.

- Provide feedback on product design and user experience based on testing results and customer use cases.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in QA engineering/manual testing with a focus on mobile applications.

- Proven experience testing Bluetooth functionality and firmware within mobile applications.

- Experience testing mobile applications connected to Bluetooth-enabled or IoT devices.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of Bluetooth standards, protocols, BLE, and related technologies.

- Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and software testing best practices.

- Familiarity with firmware testing processes and challenges.

- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Quality Center.

- Experience with automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

- Strong understanding of mobile application testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience testing mobile applications in IoT environments.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

- QA-related certifications are a plus.
