What does a successful SSO Developer do at Fiserv ?
A successful IAM/SSO Developer designs, develops, and maintains enterprise-grade identity and access management solutions. They build and enhance authentication, authorization, identity federation, and lifecycle workflows using platforms such as ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, or SailPoint. They work within agile delivery teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant IAM capabilities while adopting AI-assisted engineering to accelerate development, troubleshooting, documentation, and secure coding.
What You Will Do :
- Contribute significantly to implementing, enhancing, and documenting IAM solutions using ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, or SailPoint.
- Develop and maintain authentication, authorization, federation, and user identity lifecycle capabilities.
- Work within an agile delivery framework to deliver accurate estimates and high-quality deliverables for IAM and security compliance projects.
- Support architectural direction, technical design, and end-to-end delivery of IAM APIs and microservices.
- Build integrations involving OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML, ensuring robust token, session, and policy management.
- Ensure secure coding aligned to OWASP standards and contribute to SDLC security controls.
- Participate in full lifecycle development including unit, component, system integration, and regression validation.
- Contribute to IaC-driven automated pipelines as part of DevOps engineering.
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise) to accelerate code generation, documentation, log analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Provide guidance, knowledge transfer, and support to internal teams on IAM concepts, AM/IDM workflows, protocols, and best practices.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and tech leads across the enterprise to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions, especially around user identity, access governance, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Support production services through monitoring, debugging, incident response, and continuous improvement.
What You Need to Have :
- 5+ years of experience in software development across all phases of the SDLC.
- Strong hands-on experience with IAM platforms such as ForgeRock AM/IDM, Okta, Ping Identity, or SailPoint.
- Expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem : Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, Spring WebFlow.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and OpenAPI specification.
- Familiarity with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP, and related security protocols.
- Experience with CI/CD, build, and deployment tools including Eclipse, IntelliJ, Jenkins, GitLab, Sonar, Fortify, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases using JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience with cloud, containerization, and orchestration technologies (Docker, PCF, Kubernetes).
- Ability to apply AI-enabled engineering tools for faster development, secure code review, dependency analysis, test generation, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for simplifying and solving complex IAM challenges.
- Comfort using GenAI tools (Copilot/ChatGPT Enterprise) to enhance developer productivity.
What Would Be Great to Have :
- Experience in Payments or Financial Services.
- Development experience with JavaScript.
- Exposure to identity governance concepts, RBAC and entitlement models.
- Experience using AI/ML insights for anomaly detection, access pattern analysis, or policy optimization.
