Job Description

We are looking for experienced TPF/zTPF professionals with strong mainframe development expertise who can design, develop, and maintain complex high-performance transactional systems. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of TPF architecture, strong programming skills, and hands-on experience working in large-scale production environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Work on design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications in the TPF/zTPF environment.

- Write efficient and optimized programs using Assembler, TPFC, TPFDF, and SPMs.

- Participate in full software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, coding, debugging, unit testing, and documentation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in testing as well as production environments.

- Support production systems with on-call activities and warranty support after implementation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions and new capabilities.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.

- Contribute to performance tuning, stability improvement, and capacity optimization of TPF applications.

- Work with CI/CD tools and modern development practices to ensure robust and automated deployments.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design documents, and release notes.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required

Required Skills :

- 3 - 15 years of strong technical experience in software development.

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on programming experience in TPF & zTPF development environments.

- Strong expertise in Assembler, TPFC, TPFDF, SPMs, and mainframe concepts.

- Good understanding of the TPF operating environment and architecture.

- Experience with development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system analysis skills.

- Ability to work in high-availability and high-volume transaction processing systems.

Preferred / Good to Have :

- Experience in airline or travel domain applications running on TPF.

- Exposure to large enterprise real-time transaction processing systems.

- Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning in TPF systems.
