FINVASIA - Technical Project Manager - Agile Methodologies

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong backend engineering background to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend systems.

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with end-to-end project management, ensuring high-quality delivery in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Lead, mentor, and guide backend developers, enforcing coding standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks.

- Architect, design, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Node.js and Nest.js.

- Review code, drive performance optimization, and ensure adherence to security best practices.

- Provide technical direction on microservices architecture, API design, and system scalability.

Project & Delivery Management :

- Own Agile project execution, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, QA, DevOps, Product) to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks early; propose mitigation plans to ensure smooth execution.

- Track progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

- Ensure clear documentation and communication using tools like Jira and Confluence.

- Support continuous improvement in processes, delivery efficiency, and engineering excellence.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 9+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Node.js, Nest.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming.

- Strong knowledge of databases such as MySQL and NoSQL systems.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).

- Proven leadership experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- PMP, CSM, or other Agile/Project Management certifications.

- Experience with serverless architectures.

- Basic understanding of frontend technologies to support full-stack collaboration.
