About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and vision-driven Team Lead Software Developer (Python & Django) to guide a high-performing engineering team in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable web applications. In this dual leadership and technical role, you will balance hands-on architecture and backend development with team mentorship, code quality standards, and technical delivery alignment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technical Leadership & Team Management :

- Lead, mentor, and empower a team of Python/Django developers through technical guidance, regular code reviews, clear architectural vision, and performance evaluation.

2. System Architecture & Development :

- Architect, build, and deploy high-availability, scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using Python and the Django framework.

3. Execution & Delivery :

- Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical blueprints, sprint plans, and milestone deliverables.

4. Quality & Standards:

- Enforce software development best practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), test-driven development (TDD), security guidelines, and clean code principles.

5. Performance & Optimization:

- Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize database queries and backend performance for maximum speed and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

1. Leadership Experience:

- 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing software engineering teams in an agile environment.

2. Technical Expertise:

- 5+ years of hands-on professional software development experience using Python and Django.

3. Web Frameworks & APIs:

- Deep understanding of Django REST Framework (DRF), microservices, ORM, and API design patterns.

4. Databases & Storage:

- Strong proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching systems (e.g., Redis, Memcached).

5. DevOps & Tooling:

- Solid experience with version control systems (Git), containerization (Docker), and standard CI/CD deployment pipelines.

6. Soft Skills:

- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
