Job Description:

Role Overview:

This role focuses primarily on engineering leadership and team management (60%), while maintaining hands-on involvement in solution architecture, technical design and key development initiatives (40%).

You will build and lead high-performing engineering teams, drive technical excellence, ensure successful product delivery and guide the architecture of our AI-powered SaaS platforms in the RegTech, ESG, Sustainability and Financial Reporting domains.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Leadership (60%):

- Lead, mentor and manage a team of software engineers.

- Drive sprint planning, project execution, prioritization and delivery.

- Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions and hiring activities.

- Collaborate with Product, Customer Success and Leadership teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.

- Establish engineering best practices, development standards and quality processes.

- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

2. Technical Leadership & Architecture (40%):

- Define and review solution architecture for enterprise SaaS platforms.

- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.

- Guide the implementation of AI, LLM and automation capabilities across products.

- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship.

- Support critical development initiatives and complex technical problem-solving.

- Ensure scalability, security, performance and maintainability of applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 10+ years of overall software development experience.

- 6+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in:

1. Node.js

2. Python

3. FlaskAPI and/or FastAPI

4. Angular or React

5. Typescript, HTML, CSS

6. AWS or Azure or equivalent

7. Docker and Kubernetes

8. System Design & Solution Architecture

9. API Design and Distributed Systems

10. MySQL and Database Design

11. Linux Administration

Preferred Experience:

- Experience working in Enterprise SaaS, FinTech, RegTech, Compliance or other complex business domains.

- Regulatory, compliance, financial reporting or audit-focused platforms.

- Solid understanding of API design, system architecture, database design and scalable applications.

- Experience building AI-powered applications using:

1. LLMs and NLP pipelines

2. Prompt Engineering

3. Structured Output Generation

4. RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

5. LangChain and/or LlamaIndex

6. Vector Databases (FAISS, ChromaDB, Pinecone, etc.)

7. Embeddings and Retrieval Systems

8. Machine Learning fundamentals

- Experience in:

1. Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers.

2. Proven track record in hiring, coaching and performance management.

3. Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

4. Experience working in remote or distributed teams.

5. Multi-tenant applications and complex data-driven systems.

6. Agile/Scrum development environments.
