About the Role :
We are looking for a Software Licensing Consultant with hands-on experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and licensing. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of licensing models across publishers, coupled with the ability to manage, analyze, and optimize software assets. Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee software licensing compliance across multiple publishers and environments.
- Drive effective ITAM/SAM management practices, ensuring optimal usage and renewal of licenses.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of software licenses, entitlements, and contracts.
- Provide expert guidance on different licensing models, agreements, and programs.
- Leverage tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM) to manage and optimize licensing processes.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to highlight usage, compliance status, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, IT, finance) to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Support audits and compliance reviews related to software licensing.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications :
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the licensing industry with proven ITAM/SAM and software licensing expertise.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models and programs across different publishers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (advanced level).
- Experience with asset management software (ServiceNow SAM preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Good-to-Have :
- SAM Accreditation or equivalent certification.
- Experience in managing large-scale ITAM/SAM projects.
- Exposure to global licensing practices and compliance frameworks.
