Role : Engineering Manager

Role Overview :

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable data solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our data-driven decision-making, enabling us to better serve our customers and achieve our business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Design and implement robust data pipelines using AWS, Python, Pyspark, and Databricks to ingest, process, and transform large datasets.

- Manage and prioritize engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Oversee the development and maintenance of data models and SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.

- Implement and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.

- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring the stability and scalability of our data infrastructure.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering teams, providing mentorship and guidance to foster growth and development.

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines using AWS services, Python, Pyspark, and Databricks.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques for efficient data storage and retrieval.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 8- 15 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
