Description :


We are looking for a skilled and visionary Lead Cloud Automation Engineer to drive automation initiatives, lead a high-performing engineering team, and support the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based solutions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with experience in automation development, cloud architecture, CI/CD practices, and continuous innovation.

This role requires a strong understanding of public cloud environments, Python-based automation, and the ability to stay current with emerging technologies and cloud releases.

Key Responsibilities :


1. Cloud Automation Leadership :



- Lead, mentor, and guide the cloud automation team, ensuring efficient task execution and continuous skill development.



- Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and early adoption of new cloud features and

industry best practices.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation strategies and deliver scalable, secure cloud solutions.

2. Cloud Architecture & Product Management :


- Maintain at least one cloud solutions architect certification (AWS/Azure/GCP).


- Review and evaluate new cloud releases and capabilities to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.


- Plan and oversee cloud product upgrades, maintenance cycles, and performance enhancements.


- Ensure cloud solutions comply with architectural standards, security policies, and governance frameworks.

3. Automation Development :


- Design, develop, and implement automation scripts, workflows, and tools using Python and cloud-native services.


- Create reusable frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management,

monitoring, and operational tasks.


- Automate product lifecycle tasks such as deployments, patches, scaling, and validations.


- Integrate automation with cloud services like Lambda, Step Functions, CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure ARM/Bicep, or GCP Deployment Manager.

4. CI/CD & DevOps Integration :


- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, validation, and deployment.


- Work with DevOps teams to integrate automation scripts into release workflows and orchestration tools.


- Ensure seamless integration with version control (Git), artifact management, IaC tools, and cloud-native DevOps services.

5. Cloud Operations & Innovation :


- Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost, reliability, and security issues; recommend proactive improvements.


- Lead incident troubleshooting related to automation, infrastructure, and cloud platform changes.


- Drive proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate new cloud technologies or automation tools.


- Document processes, architecture designs, runbooks, and operational playbooks.

Required Technical Skills :


1. Cloud Platforms :


Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider :


i. AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)


- Must hold at least one Solutions Architect Certification (Associate or Professional level

preferred).

2. Automation & Programming :


- Strong proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.



- Experience building IaC (Infrastructure as Code) solutions using : i. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools.



- Experience in cloud-native automation (Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions).

3. DevOps & CI/CD :



- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as : i. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI.



- Experience with containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).


- Knowledge of Git workflows and repository management.

4. Cloud Engineering & Operations :


- Experience in cloud security, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization.


- Understanding of networking, virtualization, load balancing, IAM, and cloud governance.


- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure and automation tools.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.


- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong planning, documentation, and organizational skills.

Qualifications :


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
