Role Overview :

You will play a foundational role in building Everest Group's next-generation enterprise data platform on Snowflake. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own the design and development of scalable data pipelines, drive ingestion from critical SaaS systems, and enable analytics across the organization.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on role where you will influence architecture decisions, establish engineering best practices, and help define the long-term data strategy.

You will play a key role in shaping perspectives on areas such as :

- Enterprise data platform architecture and design

- Best practices for Snowflake-based ELT pipelines

- Scalable ingestion patterns for SaaS ecosystems

- Data modeling standards for analytics and research use cases

- Cost and performance optimization strategies for cloud data platforms

- Data governance, security, and access control frameworks

- Reliability and observability of production data systems

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and maintain robust data pipelines from enterprise SaaS platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, etc.)

- Design API-based ingestion frameworks to handle scale, failures, and evolving schemas

- Develop and optimize ELT workflows within Snowflake

- Create analytics-ready data models (star schema, SCDs, fact/dimension tables)

- Ensure high data quality through validation checks and monitoring

- Manage pipeline orchestration, scheduling, and alerting mechanisms

- Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, research, and business stakeholders

- Drive documentation, standardization, and engineering best practices

- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to platform evolution

Preferred Background :

- 7- 10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles

- Experience working in data platform modernization or transformation initiatives

- Exposure to research, consulting, or analytics-driven organizations is a plus

- Prior experience working with CRM, Finance, and Marketing data systems

- Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise data ecosystems

Hands-on exposure to :

- Snowflake (mandatory) : data ingestion, transformations, optimization

- SQL (advanced) : complex transformations and large-scale data processing

- Python : API integrations, automation, ingestion frameworks

- SaaS APIs : Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, 6sense, Gong, SharePoint

- Data modeling : Star schemas, SCD Type 1 & 2

- Cloud platforms : Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP

- ELT & orchestration tools : dbt, Azure Data Factory, or similar

- Version control & CI/CD: Git-based workflows
