ETL Tester - qTest

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for ETL and data validation processes.

- Perform database testing to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across ETL workflows.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, and SoapUI.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and continuous quality validation.

- Utilize qTest or similar test management tools to document test cases, execution results, and defects.

- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts in an Agile environment to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Identify, log, and track defects; participate in triage meetings and work towards resolution.

- Monitor code quality, unit test coverage, and security vulnerabilities.

- Leverage Databricks or Azure cloud platforms for data processing and validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing.

- Strong SQL expertise (minimum 3 years) and excellent analytical/problem-solving skills.

- Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, or SoapUI.

- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and integration of automated tests.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Strong understanding of cloud technologies Databricks or Azure preferred.

- Experience with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or Shell).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to data warehousing and big data environments.

- Experience using test management tools such as qTest, Jira, or Zephyr.

- Understanding of software development best practices and QA metrics.
