Key Responsibilities :

1. ETL & Data Warehouse Testing :

- Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test strategies for ETL and Data Warehouse projects.

- Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across multiple source and target systems.

- Perform end-to-end testing of ETL workflows, data ingestion pipelines, and batch processing jobs.

- Verify data mappings, transformation rules, aggregations, and business logic implemented within ETL processes.

- Ensure data integrity, completeness, consistency, and accuracy throughout the data lifecycle.

2. Data Validation & Analysis :

- Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.

- Develop and execute complex SQL and PLSQL queries for data verification and quality checks.

- Validate large datasets and identify data anomalies, discrepancies, and performance issues.

- Conduct data profiling and data quality assessments.

- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on data defects and quality metrics.

3. Test Automation & Scripting :

- Utilize Python for test automation, data validation, and custom testing utilities.

- Develop reusable scripts and frameworks for automated data testing.

- Support automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

4. Defect Management & Reporting :

- Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve data-related issues.

- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide root-cause analysis.

5. Agile & Quality Assurance :

- Work closely with Agile teams during sprint planning, execution, and release cycles.

- Maintain test artifacts, execution reports, and traceability matrices.

- Ensure adherence to testing standards, best practices, and organizational quality processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5-10 years of experience in ETL Testing, Data Warehouse Testing, or Data Validation Testing.

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and PLSQL.

- Proficiency in Python scripting for testing and data validation.

- Experience testing ETL processes, data pipelines, and large-scale data platforms.

- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and architectures.

- Experience performing source-to-target data validation.

- Knowledge of data ingestion frameworks and data transformation processes.

- Familiarity with structured and semi-structured data formats.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.
