About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced ETL Tester with strong expertise in database testing, SQL, and data validation across large-scale data warehousing environments. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently on test design, execution, and defect management while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL processes and data warehouse validation.

- Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data validation.

- Perform source-to-target data mapping validation by working closely with Business Analysts and developers.

- Conduct data migration testing, validating accuracy, completeness, and consistency of migrated records.

- Perform functional testing of data through portal/front-end applications where applicable.

- Perform API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI (advantageous but not mandatory).

- Document and track defects using tools like Jira, Quality Center, or similar bug tracking systems.

- Work within Agile/Scrum methodology, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Collaborate with developers and business teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.

- Contribute to process improvements by implementing test automation frameworks and scripts where applicable.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in ETL and database testing (69 years).

- Proficiency in MS-SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries with joins, subqueries, and functions.

- Hands-on experience with data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks.

- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and exposure to bug tracking tools (Jira, Quality Center, or similar).

- Experience in test planning, execution, and reporting.

- Knowledge of ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, etc.) is an added advantage.

- Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter) is advantageous.

- Experience in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, BDD with Java/Python (preferred but not mandatory).

- Exposure to API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI is an advantage.
