ETL Test Engineer - SQL/Python

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, create, and execute detailed ETL test plans and test cases.

- Perform thorough validation of ETL workflows to ensure accurate data transformation and loading.

- Track, report, and help resolve defects identified during testing cycles.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python for testing and data validation purposes.

- Collaborate with development teams using GitHub for version control and code management.

- Utilize Databricks for managing and testing data engineering workflows.

- Assist in building and managing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

- Analyze test results and troubleshoot data quality issues with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

- Good working knowledge of Python for automation and scripting.

- Experience in creating and executing ETL test plans, test cases, and defect tracking.

- Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.

- Basic knowledge of Databricks for data workflows.

- Exposure to Azure Data Factory for data pipeline management.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in data quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation within them.

- Knowledge of other scripting languages and test automation frameworks.
